New LED Video Display part of stadium renovation project set to be completed by the new school year

EDWARDSVILLE, IL, June 1, 2022 – Effingham High School in Effingham, IL is partnering with Nevco Sports, LLC to create a new and immersive game-day experience this fall.

Among the renovations taking place at Klosterman Field at Washington Savings Bank Stadium, the home of the Effingham Hearts, is the installation of a custom full-color 16-mm LED Video Display measuring 25.2’W and 16.19’H. The new display will bring endless opportunities to engage the crowd and community through capturing exciting action on the field in real-time, graphics and prompts to get fans on their feet, and additional revenue streams for the school district through showcasing sponsors.

“I’m extremely thankful for the relationship that Effingham High School has built with Nevco over the years,” said Mark Doan, Superintendent at Effingham Unit 40. “Their attention to detail and customer service is second to none. The video board and scoreboard enhancements at the Klosterman Field will significantly improve the experience for not only our fans but our student-athletes as well.”

Effingham’s new display will integrate with FinishLynx (A Nevco Sports Company) advanced track timing, making Effingham a premier destination for track events. With FinishLynx, the Hearts will be able to display photo-finish race results instantaneously that are time-stamped and accurate to 1/1000th of a second.

The video display will be placed above a 36’W by 5’H intelligent caption scoreboard with standout white LED digits and electronic team names that allow for multisport use. Topping off the new scoring solution will be a Nevco Stadium Pro™ 1000 Sound System with custom imprinted front mesh scrim proudly displaying “Effingham High School”, to further enhance the game-day experience for Hearts fans.

“When you choose Nevco, you’re choosing a company that values customers as an equal partner,” says Eric Light, Nevco’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our reputation has been built on providing quality scoring and display solutions, innovative thinking, and most importantly, on a foundation of trust.”

The Hearts are set to debut their new scoring solution along with all the other stadium renovations, including a brand-new turf field, in time for the new school year.
