This year’s preliminary levy of $1,271,548 is a 4.07 % increase from last year’s preliminary levy of $1,221,851.

“I recommend approving the Preliminary levy at the Maximum rate to allow for any adjustments prior to the December final certification,” Superintendent Gregg Parks said.

Parks said the increase is mostly due to having more students in the district this year.

The next school board meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 24 in the Nevis School media center and on Zoom. A listening session with one board member present will be held in the cafeteria from 6:15-6:45 p.m. that evening.
