Kiwanis Club Brings Back Electronic Recycling Event

LEWISBURG – The Kiwanis Club of Buffalo Valley/Lewisburg announced this year’s fundraising electronic recycling event will be held Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be at the East Buffalo Township Recycling Center on Fairground Road in Lewisburg.

The recycling event will allow Valley residents to pay a fee, and get rid of unwanted electronic items while supporting children’s services throughout the community.

Kiwanis said within the past few months they’ve distributed 200 child-development booklets, established four mini children’s libraries in local laundromats and at the Miller Center. They say they’ve also purchased bicycle helmets for free events and provided three scholarships to recent high school graduates.
